Tagged again

TAG--YOU'RE IT!! I've been tagged by my friend Breanne, and I dont normally take the time to do this, but I'm sick in bed and Zaylie is sleeping so inbetween googling the upcoming election and checking blogs I decided to do it.

Two names you go by:
1. Shan

2. Shantay

Two things you are wearing right now:
1. pajama pants

2. pink t-shirt

Two of your favorite things to do:
1. play games or hang out with friends/family

2. go out to eat

Two things you want very badly at the moment:
1. go to IHOP

2. go on a freakin vacation which we will never do because Arch never wants to take the initiative plan anything or to "waste" the money on five days of frivilous spending...we never got to even go on a blasted honeymoon unless you call driving and hotel hopping across the unted states from idaho to D.C. a honeymoon--I mean isn't this life about experiences, how in the flame (i got that from Averi and LOVE it) are we supposed to experience what this world has to offer if we never leave the magnificent (sense the sarcasm there)state of idaho. Please excuse my rantings, as you can see this is a sensitive subject.

Favorite Pets:
1. none

2. none- they require work, which is pretty much like having another kid, and really who wants that. Just kidding, I love Zaylie and would welcome any other children we have some day but for serious, I would never EVER want a pet, plus they stink and shed and you have no idea what they are thinking so they could just attack whenever they wanted and you'd have no idea it was coming.

Two people who will fill this out
1. Cassie will in about two months only because she'll feel bad that no one I tagged will do it

2. Averi, I'm sure she hates these things as much as the next person but she's always there to come through for me.

Two things you did last night:
1. Went to mutual

2. Went to the cocoa bean with Cassie and Keri to get a cupcake...delicious.

Two things you ate today
1. vanilla wafers

2. It's 11:22 and I just went downstairs to try to find something else and there was nothing besides tortillas and rotted strawberries, so I'm back up in my bed starving.

Two people you last talked to:
1. Archie

2. Keri

Two things you're doing tomorrow:
1. Showing Bobbi how to make a brag book.

2. getting bids from contractors for our house

Two longest car rides:
1. Idaho Falls to Washington D.C

2. Colorado to either Florida or New York/Canada border its a pretty close tie

Two favorite holidays:
1. Christmas time (the whole month of december I love)

2. Fourth of July

Two favorite vacations:
1. Well I haven't really been on one and probably will never go on one, but if I had to choose I would say...San Fransisco when Cassie and Brennen got married

Juno

Everyday I get people asking me how old I am which usually follows with, oh my I could have sworn you were 16 years old. I substitute teach at the middle schools and highschools and every time with out fail I get mistaken for a student...I'm being told to go to class, or a teacher will come in my classroom and ask where the teacher is, or the students will ask me out etc. A couple of weeks ago an APX Alarm salesman came to my door and asked me if my mom was home... I said no, but my husand is. Anyway needless to say, because I am constantly being told how young I look, I have always felt super young. Remember back when we were all kids and you'd say some new slang word like, oh lets say, "the bomb" or "for shizzle" and your parents would be like what the heck does that mean? I remember thinking I am never going to be like that, I'm going to be the coolest mom and will always listen to the hip music, and watch MTV, and dress cool, and know all the slang terms even when I'm 45. Well I'm only 23 years old and I've already let myself down.

Arch and I watched Juno last night, and anyone who knows me would know that I have "phrases" if you will like hold the phone, shut the front door, good freak, that flips my switch, I hear ya squawkin big chicken, I'm pickin up what your puttin down and they just go on and on(which really I owe most of my phrases to Averi, Zoolander and Nacho Libre) but this movie put me to shame. Half way through the movie I started thinking, good crap I don't understand half the stuff this girl is saying, I am TOTALLY moving towards the "what the heck does that mean" kind of mom. I think one of my favorites she said was "up the spout" meaning pregnant oh and "honest to blog" meaning are you serious? Anyway, this may be about the most random post I've ever posted, but its just been on my mind and I didn't have any pictures to update ya'll on so this is what you get.

Zaylie update

I've been getting hounded about not posting pictures of Zaylie by everyone I run into, so I decided to go overboard with the pictures so ya'll will leave me alone. I put them all in a slide show because there were just to many to put all on a the blog so i'm sorry you have to wait through the whole thing just to see the pictures...annoying I know but there was just no other way. Enjoy.

I've been tagged: My Spouse

Since I was tagged by about 7 people with this thing i decided I would do it, plus it was kind of fun to reflect on our past dating life and our relationship. So here it goes.

How did you meet your spouse? Well I worked in the bookstore with this guy Nathan Roberts, (he lived with arch before their missions) he would always tell me about his friend Archie and how cool he was, he was still on his mission and was coming to school in the winter. Well you know how guys talk up their friends but they always turn out to be well... you know... anyway the first day of winter semester they came into thebookstore to buy books and I was smitten.
Where did you go on your first date? We pretty much hate this question because neither of us really remember it. We think it was either going ice skating, or dairy queen. We hung out a
lot with his friends so our actual dates are kind of a blur.

How long have you been together? We dated for a year and a half and have been married for almost four years, so grand total as of right now 4 years and 9 months.
Who eats more? Typically, Arch does, but when I'm pregnant I put him to shame.
Who said I love you first? Arch did--but let me preface the story- We had been dating for a year and had never EVER talked about anything serious ever, so I was beginning to think nothing was ever going to happen between us, we would just date forever because Arch wasn't capable of deep conversations...well he finally said it one night, and instead of me saying I love you to, I first said "You do?" all bewildered like. Of course I said I love you too a few minutes later, but apparantly it freaked Arch out that I didn't believe him, and he didn't said it again until about 3 months later.
Who is taller? He is.

Who sings better? I do, Arch can actually sing decently when he's trying to be funny, but when he tries to sing like in church, he's all over the place.
Who is smarter? Mostly he is, there might be a subject or two that I'm smarter in.
Who does the laundry and the dishes? I do, he might help out here and there with putting laundry in the washing machine, but I would feel safe to say he has folded the laundry 4 times in our marriage. But in his defense its mostly becaue he doesn it wrong and I'd rather do it right, he does do the dishes here and there and will help when I ask.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Well I really don't know, at our house Arch does, but when we sleep other places it changes, i wonder if it has to do with where the door is placed or the direction the room is facing... weird. Wait a minute I know, Arch sleeps closest to the Alarm clock because I sleep through them.
Who pays the bills? Arch does, he doesn't trust me to do them, I'm way to forgetful.
Who mows the lawn? Arch does, he's incharge of the outside stuff and the cars, and I'm in charge of the inside chores, but we do help eachother; its a little 1940's but it works for us.
Who cooks dinner? I do, because if I don't he makes chilli-mac, which is the most revolting mess of nastiness.
Who drives when you are together? He does--he always says he's a professional driver (he drove UPS trucks for a summer).
Who is more stubborn? We both are, we're both first borns so its kind of in our blood. However I would say Arch is and Arch would say I am.
Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? I will admit Arch is usually, he's always been really good at that, I'm so stubborn I hate giving in first, although sometimes I will say he's right (even though i know I'm right) when I get annoyed of arguing.
Whose parents do you see the most? my parents they live about 15 minutes away from us.
Who kissed who first? Well I guess I kissed him first, but it was about dang time it had been two months already!

Who proposed? He did, and it was the most amazing day, I was so shocked to see the amount of romanticness come out of arch...but we joke and say he used up his romantic abilities for the next 10 years... which has been about right so far. (just kidding, he's done about 3 romantic things since)
Who is more sensitive? I am... but Arch can be too, I think it would suprise many of you.
Who has more friends? I do, Arch seems to think he doesn't need any besides Zach, the Roberts brothers and Scott. Plus he says he isn't good at being social...whatever that means.
(See what I mean)--thanks to logans facebook for these pictures.

Who has more siblings? Arch does... 2 brothers 2 sisters. I have two sisters one brother.
Who wears the pants in the family? Oh Arch would say he does and I would say I do, so we probably trade off.

I tag... Lindsay Coudron, Lindsay Roberts, Keri, Sheena, and Audrey and Cassie

I'm BACK!!!

So for those of you who didn't know, we've never really had the internet, so any time i post something its because I'm at my parents house or I'm roaming around my house late at night trying to pick up on a wireless signal from our neighbors. Well I'm here to announce WE GOT INTERNET AND CABLE!!! You have no idea how happy this makes me, I feel like I could dance all day long, even Arch was impressed by my freakishly good mood. Seriously though, when you stay at home ALL day long with a child and you only have channel 8 (a fuzzy channel 8 that is) to keep you company life gets pretty sad, because now i know all the happenings of soap operas and quite frankly that makes me want to vomit out of the back of my throat. So heres to my glorious day and to my husband who finally gave in and agreed to let me get cable and interent. yahoo!!!!!

(I almost feel like this day is right up there with my wedding day and the day of Zaylies birth... hence the extatic wedding picture.)

Anaheim HERE WE COME!

Thats right folks, this weekend we are heading down to the sunny state of California to get out of the snow and go to a supercross race in Anaheim. This race is going to be so cool because all of the old school riders like Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Staton, Rick Johnson and Jeff Ward will be there riding all their old school bikes from when they used to race. Of course all the new guys will be there too, like Ricky Carmichael(spelling), Bubba Stewart, Kevin Windham, and Ivan Tedesco. They are going to have a race where they ride the older two strokes...its going to be awesome to hear some sweet two stroke pipe. We also get to go down to the pits and see all the factory bikes and riders. There are going to be a lot of crazy mullet wearin, booty showin, redneck cream of the crop. This is where they all come out of the wood work; good stuff.

We've got Sunday to play around so we're thinking about California Adventure or Disney Land or something of that nature so if you know of anything really fun to do do down there let us know by friday! We're leaving the baby behind with the Grandparents so we get to have a fun little vacation by ourselves, well and with Arch's boss and his wife, and another riding buddy of theirs and his wife, but still- no babies! YAY! (Sorry to all you Roberts', three exclamation marks in one paragraph, I'm just not a good enough writer to get the excitement across with out them)

We'll take pictures of the event and post them when we get back. Till then...
